Everyone heals differently, and everyone needs different tools to heal. Support groups can be a valuable tool in helping those affected by suicide, specifically teenagers, to feel less isolated, alone, and judged. Currently, in the state of Washington, there are only 8 support groups that specifically focus on survivors of suicide, and we are the only one working with teen survivors of suicide.
Our support groups are ran by a curriculum crafted by professionals from a variety of experiences to help the healing process go as well as it possibly can for teens.
Our support groups will run in 6-week sessions in a closed group setting. They are 100% free of cost; are completely subsidized by fundraising done throughout each fiscal year.
"How can I or a loved one attend the support groups?"
We require an initial intake before attending groups with The Other Six. This first connection is an important beginning to the healing process, as it serves as an introduction to our services and opportunity for us to get to know you and your needs.
Please fill out to request an intake and a counselor will follow up with you within 72 hours. Please note that due to privacy laws, we cannot accept intake requests that are made on behalf of another person, unless the individual is under 18.
